A report on university students in the Dominican Republic presented at the 35th National Statistics System Inter-Institutional Meeting has released some figures on university studies from the Enhogar 2015 survey. According to the report, a total of 580,981 students are enrolled in Dominican universities. It also revealed that 1.6 million people have a university education.
The most popular degrees are accounting (12.2%), education (11.5%), management 9%, and law 8.9%.
The central Cibao region has the most students with 34.4%, followed by the province of Santo Domingo 25.1%, the south-central region of Valdesia 10.6%, eastern region 10.4%, National District 10.2% and southwest 9.3%.
