The Rector of the UNAPEC University and coordinator of the Dominican Initiative for Quality Education (IDEC), Radhames Mejia, has recommended that external auditors should be hired to assess the quality of school construction in the country. He made the proposal after Dominican Seismological Society president Leonardo Reyes Madera warned that a 7.5 magnitude earthquake was imminent for the Cibao region.
