The judge in charge of the drug trafficking case involving singer Martha Heredia ordered her conditional release yesterday, Tuesday 19 April 2016. She was sentenced to seven years in prison for attempted drug trafficking after being arrested at the Cibao International Airport in Santiago in 2013 with 1.290 kg of heroin concealed in the heels of a pair of shoes.
