CID Latinoamericana: Medina 65%, Abinader 28%

According to CID Latinoamericana poll, 65.2% of voters polled between 15 and 19 April 2016 said they would vote for President Danilo Medina and Vice President Margarita Cedeno. 28.8% said they would vote for leading opposition candidate Luis Abinader. Guillermo Moreno of Alianza Pais would receive 2.1% of the vote. A total of 1,074 eligible voters were polled nationwide for the poll, which has a margin of error of 3%. According to the poll, the ruling PLD has 60% following, plus 5% of the PRD ally party. This compares to 23% obtained by the PRM and its presidential and vice presidential candidates Luis Abinader and Carolina Mejia.
