There is a long weekend coming up from Friday, 29 April through Monday, 2 May. The Ministry of Labor is reminding the public in the Dominican Republic that while Labor Day actually falls on Sunday, 1 May 2016, it will be celebrated on the following Monday. Holidays are established according to Law 139-97.
