Telecommunications company Claro, the Central Electoral Board’s (JCE) main service provider for the 15 May 2016 elections, has guaranteed that it is ready to transmit all of the information and handle the communications on election day.
During a recently meeting Claro president in the Dominican Republic, Oscar Pena, assured JCE president, Roberto Rosario that the telephone network is able to meet the high quality levels required for the May elections.
As well as fiber optic Internet Claro also has a fixed connection to the call center at the JCE and will also have an automatic call distribution service in operation.
In addition, according to Pena, the company will allow the JCE access to its network distribution center to enable it to monitor all Claro phones throughout the country, both mobile and fixed lines.
