According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), two weather fronts, one over Puerto Rico and the other higher up in the atmosphere will both cause rain and thunderstorms during the afternoons and the night for the coming days.
The rain will be heaviest in the following provinces: Dajabon, Santiago Rodriguez, Valverde (Mao), Santiago, Espaillat (Moca), Hermanas Mirabal (Salcedo), Duarte (San Francisco de Macoris), Samana, Maria Trinidad Sanchez (Nagua), La Vega, Sanchez Ramirez (Cotui), Monsenor Nouel (Bonao), Monte Plata, San Cristobal, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, San Pedro de Macoris, Barahona, Azua, San Juan de la Maguana and La Altagracia (Higuey).
Temperatures are expected to remain high during the day and cooler in the early hours of the morning.
