An operation against a drug gang in the south of Argentina has ended with four Dominicans and two Argentineans under arrest and the confiscation of around four kilos of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana and US$6,870 in cash.
According to the police the operations took place in Tierra del Fuego and Santa Cruz where the gang was involved in taking drugs from Buenos Aires to Rio Grande in Tierra de Fuego. Once there the drugs were to be cut and prepared for sale.
The Dominicans, two men and a woman, were arrested near Santa Cruz on 16 April, plus a couple of Argentineans and their son along with a Dominican woman who were arrested on a bus coming from Buenos Aires with cocaine hidden in deodorant and air freshener containers.
