The National Gallery at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo is holding an exhibition of the works of Dominican artist Oscar Abreu. “My Psycho-Expressionism,” sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, is open to the public from Thursday, 5 May through the end of June. Abreu is known for his abstract paintings, drawings and sculptures. A cocktail reception to launch the exhibition will be held at the Salon de la Cupula at Bellas Artes at 7:30pm on Thursday, 5 May, during which art critics Marianne de Tolentino and Abil Peralta will discuss Abreu’s works.
