The National Statistics Office (ONE) has released its regional statistical reports focusing on the country’s demography, living conditions, environment, jobs, social security, economy, agriculture, political participation, education, health, police statistics, judicial statistics, poverty, transport and communication. The information was gathered for the Ninth National Population and Housing Census carried out in 2010. The statistics are available for the country’s leading tourism destinations, including La Altagracia (Punta Cana), La Romana, Puerto Plata and Samana.
