Blackouts lasting from half an hour to four hours have been affecting areas that come under the power distributors’ 24/7 electricity program. People are complaining that despite the power failures, power bills do not go down. Instead, they may actually be higher because extra power is needed to charge the backup inverters.
Despite the frequent blackouts, the power distributors have not offered any explanations, as reported in Diario Libre.
