Unreported clear air turbulence affected a flight en route from Dominican Republic to Pittsburgh on Thursday 5 May 2016. The plane was diverted to Fort Lauderdale for medical help after several passengers were injured. Four Allegiant flight attendants and three passengers were taken to the hospital. One of the passengers told reporters that the affected were not wearing their seatbelts.
