Mark Penn: Roberto Salcedo and David Collado tied

A Mark Penn/Noticias SIN poll released yesterday, Monday 9 May 2016 found that National District Mayor Roberto Salcedo has 43% of the vote compared to the main opposition candidate, the PRM’s David Collado 42%. Noticias SIN says this makes it a technical tie because the poll’s margin of error is 6.3%. It also found that with less than a week before the election, 15% of voters are still undecided. The poll report does not give the date of the poll or the number of people polled.

In Santiago, the same poll reveals that president of the Chamber of Deputies, Abel Martinez, who is running for mayor of Santiago, has a comfortable lead of 55% to 23% over former Santiago mayor Jose Enrique Sued of the PRM.

For the poll 1,226 eligible voters were surveyed from 26-29 April 2016.
