With just five days to go before the elections, another poll, this time by US pollsters Expedition Strategies has Danilo Medina obtaining 65% of the vote and Luis Abinader, 28%.
Expedition Strategies director Peter Brodnitz said that their survey found that three out of four Dominicans believed that the PLD will win the election.
According to the poll, 61% were satisfied with the direction the country was going in and 83% thought that Medina had done a good job in government. The majority thought he was the best candidate as far as education, support for women and help with poverty is concerned.
The survey was carried out between 30 April and 2 May 2016 among 1,038 adults with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.04%.
