Spaniards in DR called to repeat poll

Spaniards registered to vote in the Dominican Republic are being called to vote again on 26 June 2016, according to a report in Diario Libre. The repeat poll is being held after politicians in Spain failed to form a coalition government after four months of negotiations, forcing the new election that could or may not break the deadlock. Spanish citizens eligible to vote are registered in the Censo Electoral de Residentes Ausentes. The lists are available at the Spanish Consulate from 8am to 12 noon from 9 May to 16 May and on Saturday, 14 and Sunday 15 from 9am to 12 noon. Any document changes need to be made before 28 May. Requests can be made online at the Ministry of Foreign Relations page http://www.exteriores.gob.es or at the Consulate.
