The Central Bank reports that the Consumer Price Index increased 0.67% during the first quarter of the year. Inflation in April was 0.09% compared to April 2015. Anualized inflation, from April 2015 to April 2016 was 1.75%. This is below the forecast inflation of 4% for the year. The Central Bank reports that inflation is mainly attributed to price increases on food products caused by the drought that affected farming production.
