The town of Sanchez, in the south of Samana province, is best known for its shrimp production. Now Sanchez is preparing to host its Third Marisco Ripiao Festival, combining delicious seafood with tropical rhythms and the history of the town, where the country’s first Royal Bank of Canada was opened.
The festival will be held in and around the focal point of La Plazoleta del Muellefrom Friday, 17 to Sunday 19 June 2016.
