DR and the ILO on good terms

For the second year running the Dominican Republic is not on the list of countries that have incurred serious failures before the member states of the International Labor Organization. The ILO is a tripartite group that has been functioning since 1919 and is the only tripartite group under the United Nations umbrella. A total of 187 countries are represented at the ILO.

In a press release, Minister of Labor Maritza Hernandez states that for the first time, last year the country was not on the list of countries committing serious breaches in their labor relations.
