Business forum to focus on sustainability during OAS Assembly

The Dominican business sector is invited to attend the private business forum, “Building a Hemispheric Partnership for Sustainability: The Role of the Private Sector” at the Santo Domingo Sheraton in Santo Domingo on 15 June 2016.

The event is being held concurrently with the 46th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) that is taking place at the Ministry of Foreign Relations convention center in Santo Domingo from 13 to 15 June under the theme “Institutional Strengthening for Sustainable Development in the Americas.”

On Wednesday, 15 June, the 11th OAS Private Sector Forum “Building a Hemispheric Partnership for Sustainability: the Role of the Private Sector” will bring together experts and international personalities to highlight business opportunities in the sustainable economy and make a call to action.

The Forum is organized by the Dominican Republic government, the OAS and the National Business Council (Conep) with the support of the UN Global Compact.

The 11th Private Sector Forum seeks to help link entrepreneurship in the Americas to the sustainable development agenda by sharing regional and global experiences and best business practices that boost growth and innovation.
