Bano de Damas at Palacio de Bellas Artes

The dramatic comedy “Women’s Bathroom” by Venezuelan playwright Rodolfo Santana opens at the Palacio de Bellas Artes on 15 July 2016 and will be staged both weekends through 24 July. The play consists of dialogues by 10 women and a transvestite who confess, laugh, cry and confront themselves in the bathroom of a city bar. It tells tales of dysfunctional relationships between mother and daughter, a woman abused by her husband, prostitution, lesbianism, drug addiction, and other issues.

The play, which honors late theater director Enrique Chao features comedy stars Techy and Karla Fatule, Georgina Duluc, Olga Bucarelli, Pamela Sued, Carolina and Ana Rivas, Miralba Ruiz, Maria Angelica Urena, Zdenka Kalina and Manuel Raposo.
