In a long session yesterday, Wednesday 8 June 2016, deputies passed the changes to the extradition agreement approved by the Attorney General Office with the United States on 12 January 2015. Attorney General Francisco Dominguez Brito, who has been advocating for its approval this week, says it will give greater effectiveness in the prosecution of citizens who try to avoid facing justice by traveling abroad.
The bill had already been passed in the Senate.
