The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development reports that the Inter-American Development Bank has ranked the Dominican Republic among the top four most efficient National Public Investment Systems (NPIS) in Latin America and the Caribbean. The NPIS represents the state institutions that regulate public investment processes in the country.
The study: “Spending on Public Investment in Latin America: How much does it cost, and how efficient” was released during the 6th SNIP Workshop held in San Jose, Costa Rica and attended by representatives from regional governments. The top four countries are Chile, Bolivia, Peru and the Dominican Republic, says the Ministry of Economy release.
