The Ministry of Public Works reported that on Sunday 50 persons were arrested at different points of the country and accused of carrying out illegal motorcycle races on the highways. Arrested are organizers of the races, those that watch for when the authorities may be coming, and the motorcycle racers themselves, among others. The persons were arrested on Duarte, Sanchez, 6 de Noviembre and Autovia del Este, reported colonel Jacobo Mateo Moquete, public relations man for the Military and Police Commission of the Ministry of Public Works.
