Two people were killed in a traffic accident on Charles de Gaulle Avenue near the Ney Arias Lora hospital in Santo Domingo East at 8.30 pm on Sunday evening, 12 June 2016.
The accident involved three cars. Alejandro Brand Munoz and Nancy Brand Munoz were killed and Cristina Brand Munoz was injured. The three were traveling in a Honda Civic.
According to the Metropolitan Transport Authority (Amet), the driver of one of the vehicles involved, a Nissan Pathfinder, fled the scene on foot following the accident, leaving his vehicle there. The third car involved was a Toyota Corolla, whose driver Carlos Manuel Valdez Delgado was also injured.
