According to reports, a helicopter burst into flames and crashed into a mountain in a national park area in the border province of Restauracion at around 8:15pm on Monday, 13 June 2016. The helicopter is believed to have been en route to Haiti with two passengers on board, both reportedly US citizens. The Army says that the passengers have been identified as John Ward and Jama Jaloe, from a credit card found at the scene of the crash. The bodies were recovered at 9pm.
