A National District judge has ordered six months of pre-trial custody for six people accused of being in possession of 748 kilos of cocaine and nearly a million dollars in cash confiscated during an operation late last week in Los Cacicazgos, in the National District and San Souci, in Santo Domingo East.
Judge Jose Alejandro Vargas sent Raul Jaime, Victor Manuel Andrades Caceres, Nortandio De Jesus Messia Rufino, Edwin Adrian Mejia Gutierrez, Water Solis Omana Ortiz and Judel Bernard to La Victoria jail. He also ordered electronic tagging for Carmen Altagracia Rufino and Carlos Raul Jaime Boza. Altagracia Rufino had to pay bail of a million pesos plus is subject to an exit ban and regular court appearances and Boza regular appearances and an exit ban.
