The Ministry of Tourism’s health tourism division director Wendy Sanchez Imbert has announced that the third International Congress for Health Tourism and Wellness, organized by the Dominican Health Tourism Association (ADTS), will take place on 1-2 September 2016 at the Jaragua Renaissance Hotel in Santo Domingo. The platform serves the growing health tourism sector.
Upon making the announcement, Sanchez highlighted the growing strength of the medical and health tourism sector. ADTS president Alejandro Cambiaso said that the event was aimed at exchanging best practices and experiences and at promoting the country as a health tourism destination and therefore ideal for the development of retiree communities.
