On Yesterday, Tuesday, 28 June 2016, President Danilo Medina congratulated the president of the Spanish government, Mariano Rajoy, who was elected for another term in office.
In the letter on behalf of the Dominican government, Medina wished the Spanish president-elect well for his second term and said that he was sure Rajoy would contribute to the strengthening of democracy and the continued progress of Spain. Medina also expressed that the excellent relations between Spain and the Dominican Republic would continue both in trade and culture to help both countries grow closer together.
