On Monday, 27 June 2016, President Danilo Medina handed over 1,532 title deeds for properties to families in the communities of Aguayo and La Amarga, in San Francisco de Macoris, in Duarte province and in Monsenor Nouel (Bonao) province.
Around 900 beneficiaries are now owners of land located in the agrarian projects de AC-181 President Antonio Guzman, in Aguayo and La Amarga in San Francisco de Macoris. In addition there are 632 title deeds for the same number of families in land located in the agrarian project AC-001 San Isidro Labrador in Juma, Monsenor Nouel.
The director of the Titles’ Office, Emilio Toribio Olivo, called on the families not to sell their land with the titles reminding them that money goes quick.
In total 7,465 people benefitted from the title deeds with an area of 744,000 square meters.
