The Ministry of Public Works announced the partial shutdown to traffic on the Francisco del Rosario Sanchez Bridge (Puente de la 17) that crosses the Ozama River, connecting east and west Santo Domingo. The west-east lane of the bridge will be closed from 6am to 6pm from Saturday, 2 July through Thursday, 7 July 2016. A new layer of asphalt will be applied to the city bridge as part of the Ministry’s general maintenance program. The works are being carried out by Odebrecht-Estrella consortium.
