The National Hotel & Tourism Association (Asonahores) announced that 36-year old lawyer Andres Marranzini Grullon was named the new executive vice president for 2016-2021. He replaces Arturo Villanueva, who held the post for over 25 years.
As reported, Marranzini is a corporate law specialist in tourism and real estate development as well as an expert in environmental law. He is a graduate from the Unibe law school. He also holds a master’s degree in corporate law and finance from New York University (NYU). He is currently a partner in the Oficina Marranzini law firm and co-founder of the Business Strategy Group (GEE), a think tank made up of young entrepreneurs interested in public policy.
He has worked in government as a deputy minister in the Ministry of Labor and the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency. Marrazini is also a legal advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
