The Weather Office (Onamet) is forecasting rains for today mostly in the eastern side. A tropical wave is moving through from Puerto Rico and is expected to bring heavy rains and thunderstorms nationwide on Wednesday, 6 July 2016. After bringing heavy rains to La Altagracia, El Seibo, La Romana, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macoris and Monte Plata, the storm has now moved to the north as it moves west.
Onamet forecasts rains for San Pedro de Macoris, Monte Plata, Sanchez Ramirez, Duarte, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, San Cristobal, San Jose de Ocoa, La Vega, Monsenor Nouel, Azua, San Juan, Elias Pina, Dajabon, Montecristi, Santiago Rodriguez and Valverde.
