During the meeting of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) at their head office the ruling political party chose Senator Reinaldo Pared Perez (PLD National District) to preside the Senate and President Danilo Medina’s sister, Lucia Medina (PLD-San Juan de la Maguana) to preside the Chamber of Deputies.
Senator Dionis Sanchez (PLD-Pedernales) will be the senate vice president and Lupe Nunez (PLD-Duarte) will be the vice president for the Chamber of Deputies.
The PLD committee reported that for the period 2018-19, Radhames Camacho will preside the Chamber of Deputies and for 2019-20, Demostenes Martinez.
