At least three people were injured in a crash between a tour bus carrying 49 Russian tourists and a Hyundai Sonata vehicle on at Km 76 of the Samaná highway on Thursday, 12 January 2017.
Metropolitan Transport Authority (AMET) spokesman Diego Pesqueira named the injured as José Liriano, Juan Ramón Romero and driver Arturo Malena. The Russian tourists on the bus, none of whom were injured, were on their way from Bávaro to spend part of their vacation in Samaná.
