Forged vehicle stickers caught at Quisqueya Park

The Tax Agency (DGII) has cracked down on a gang that was selling fake vehicle driver permits in the area around the Quisqueya Stadium. The DGII said that the gang printed and sold the forged stickers, which are required every year for a vehicle to transit in the Dominican Republic.

A National District prosecutor and director of the Special Investigations Department, Adolfo Félix, said that the gang operated from an abandoned freight container at the ballpark parking lot. Several people have been arrested, including the suspected gang leader, known as “El Rubio.” El Rubio had several forged stickers and cash in his possession when he was arrested.
