The National Police has arrested a man from Panama who was being sought by the judicial authorities in his country for fraud.
The Panamanian, 52-year old West Miguel Valdés Chapuseaux, was captured in a park near the Cibao International Airport in Santiago on Monday, 23 January 2017, by police assigned to Interpol Santo Domingo. He is accused of fraud against public administration for the amount of US$12.2 million. He will now be deported to Panama.
