A Santo Domingo court ordered 20 years in jail for Horacio Bautista García convicted of the murder on 9 December 2015, of Claro telecom executive Rubén Daniel Núñez Piña while he was sitting on a bench in Mirador del Sur Park. At the time of the murder, Núñez Piña and a female friend were assaulted by Bautista who robbed Núñez fled, leaving him mortally wounded.
