Marino Peralta, president of the Association of Suppliers of Food to Dominican Republic Schools announced the suspension of service to 80 public schools for lack of payment on behalf of the Instituto Nacional de Bienestar Estudiantil (Inabie). He said the government is in arrears with them for RD$3 billion.
He said the businesses can no longer continue offering the service. The cuts have been in Montecristi, according to a report in El Nacional.
