Oscar Luis Monzón, executive director of the Dominican Association of Franchises, says that 40% of the franchise industry growth has been generated by local companies. He said that more than 50,000 persons work in these franchises.
In the Dominican Republic there are around 150 foreign franchises from Spain, Mexico, US, Venezuela and other countries.
