The Dominican Air Force continues to search for a boat that has gone missing since last Thursday, 28 April 2017, after leaving the port of Los Cacaos in northeastern Samaná with 10 members of a family on board. The boat had left on an excursion, despite the poor weather conditions.
Colonel Freddy de Jesús Torres Polanco, director de Civil Military Operation for the Air Force, said that despite the poor weather, search operations had continued with the use of helicopters and airplanes as well as Navy boats.
