The head of the Dominican Air Force, Major General Luis Napoleón Payán Díaz has announced a salary increase for its members starting in July 2017.
He did not announce the amount of the increase, and only confirmed that as stated by the President Danilo Medina and the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Rubén Paulino Sem, that they would receive an increase from that date.
The announcement was made during a visit to the Northern Command of the Air Force in Puerto Plata where he handed over food, helmets and light reflective equipment to officers.
