Twenty wells of the Brujuela Casui system are out of service in the Boca Chica area due to the rains causing rivers to overflow in San José de los Llanos where they are located.
This means that the municipality of Boca Chica is without water. The Boca Chica Corporation of Aqueducts and Sewers is using water trucks to provide water for household use for residents until the problems are resolved.
The water supply problems are affecting 25 neighborhoods, the Las Americas Free Zone and the Las Americas International Airport.
