The Senate and Chamber of Deputies passed important bills on Wednesday, 3 May 2017, including the bill that regulates the jail system and the amended bill on extinction of domain. The extinction of domain bill would allow the state to expropriate goods acquired with illicitly obtained money. Also approved was a bill that penalizes the occupation by unauthorized persons of parking spaces habilitated for persons with special needs. Congress also passed a bill that penalizes anyone obstructing the work of staff of the 911 Emergency System.
