A delegation of officials from the Chicago White Sox visited the Presidential Palace on 3 May 2017 to meet President Danilo Medina. Jerry Reinsdorf, chairman of the White Sox, and David Ball, executive director of the White Sox for the Dominican Republic were part of the courtesy visit. As reported, they talked baseball and sports.
As reported in El Caribe, also visiting was David Aguilar, partner of Reinsdorf in the company, Global Security Innovative Strategies and John Kaites. During the visit to the Presidential Palace, the businessmen were accompanied by Dominican Consul in Chicago, Giselle Castillo.
