The National Police have announced the arrest of three men accused of defrauding a bank of the sum of RD$5,179,000. Those arrested are identified as Cosme Damián Mejía Almonte, Yonathan Ariel Miqui and Jonathan Cristóbal Bautista.
According to the police, the modus operandi of the band was to forge the identity of the clients of the bank to carry out a number of transactions. They are now awaiting their first appearances in court.
