The lawyers for the defendants in the Odebrecht case will be appealing the coercive measures ordered by Judge Francisco Ortega Polanco to their clients during this week or next. However, no appeals have been submitted. Defense lawyers told the media they have 20 days, after the notification of a sentence, to appeal.
Antoliano Peralta, lawyer for Andres Bautista, president of the Revolutionary Modern Party (PRM) along with Rafael Suarez, lawyer for Máximo De Óleo, said that they are studying and analyzing the ruling and their appeals may be ready this week.
