Fidget spinner mania takes hold of Dominican students

Diario Libre reports that the fidget spinner has caught on as a toy in the Dominican Republic to the point it is becoming a problem in schools. The device was originally developed to help people with hyperactive movements associated with ADHD to focus and learn better.

But the mania for fidget spinners has taken off, as Dominican kids have been quick to follow the YouTube videos showing people spinning them on their noses, foreheads and their popularity has exploded.
