The fire brigade in the National District and police explosives’ experts have begun to investigate the cause of a fire that damaged the three-story warehouse of the Hiper Uno supermarket, located on Duarte Avenue, near 27 February in Villa Consuelo. Losses in millions are estimated.
12 fire engines from the Fire Brigade were needed to bring the blaze under control. Brigade head, Rafael del Rosario, said that the fire began around 5pm and was still going strong late into the evening.
An investigation is ongoing into what could have started the fire.
