Members of the security forces and the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD have confiscated US$100,000 from a Venezuelan who was trying to take the money out of the country illegally.
The Venezuelan, Cirilo José Reyes, was about to board flight 2967 of Laser Airlines, bound for Caracas on Sunday, 25 June 2017, when the money was detected by x ray machines at the immigration exit. The money was in a cardboard box packed inside his luggage.
Reyes is now being questioned by authorities to see where the money came from.
