Latam Airlines Brazil starts flights in January 2018

Latam Airlines Brazil is booking regular flights from Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU) to Punta Cana International (PUJ) with a first flight scheduled for 18 January 2018, announced Luis Ernesto Camilo, president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC). Promotional one-way flights are going for as low as US$774. An Airbus A-319 with capacity for 160 passengers will be used.

Camilo explained Latam is the largest airline in Latin America. It is a member of the One World Alliance. The airline is based in Sao Paulo, and flies to South America, Europe and the United States.

Camilo said that as of April 2017, this year 98,000 tourists had arrived on flights from Brazil. With the start of the regular flights, the number is expected to significantly increase.

Latam Airlines Group was born out of the joint operations of LAN and TAM airlines that service destinations in Latin America.
